Whole Wheat Pizza
1 pkg. active dry yeast
¾ c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 c. white flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
Topping: approx. 2/3 c. pizza sauce
¼ lb. grated mozzarella cheese – low fat
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add salt and sugar. Add oil. Stir
2. Add the flours, gradually and mix until a stiff dough forms. You may need to add more flour.
3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
4. Shape the dough to fit a lightly greased pan.
5. Spread sauce on top of the dough. Add the cheese.
6. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
