Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
½ tsp. baking soda
1 stick of softened butter or margarine
6 tbsp. white sugar
6 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
½ tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1 c. chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the margarine and sugars. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
3. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Beat. Stir in the chocolate chips.
4. Using two teaspoons carefully drop the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet, 2 in. apart. Bake each sheet 10-12 minutes.
5. Cool and serve.
